August 2011...

August 2011
(May-December in Review)

August was filled with more family time, mommy/ daughter dates, and Elsie's adoption. We have a lot to be thankful for and a lot to praise God for!

Date at the Mall... she LOVED the independence... and the slide. 
She kept going up and down... and didn't want to share with the other children. :)

Michael and I had the honor of taking LJ and CJ to their meet-the-teacher day at school!

It was kinda funny, as soon as we walked into CJ's room, the teacher recognized me!
We had played intramurals in BCM... many MANY years ago!
Then she asked if these were mine... I quickly said, "Oh no, these are my nephews. I have a one year old."
(I was thinking; "Is she crazy?! I am not old enough to have a kindergartener! (laugh at self!) oh my gracious! I am! I could even have a middle-schooler just like the teacher!" fun times!

Mama takes a turn... now it's Lila's turn. I think it fits! :)

This girl LOVES salsa!

Lila watched Daddy eat some salsa and chips, we thought if we gave her a taste she wouldn't beg for it! NOT! She loved it! and kept eating it over and over! Now when we go to chili's, her favorite part is the chips and salsa. Silly girl!

Today we were running errands and I picked up a pack of Peanut Butter M&M's... Lila had done so well shopping that we both deserved a treat. :) 
This was her FIRST taste of M&M's... I think she liked them? :)

I love this girl! She brings so much joy and delight into our lives. Each stage, each day... more and more our love grows!
