Florida Wildlife...

It has been very interesting to witness the different wildlife here in Florida. Besides my nephews and nieces (hehe)... we have seen quite a few interesting animals!

In our home in WV it felt like we were living out the movie Bambi... deer, fawn, bunnies, cardinals... the list goes on! And we were quite "twitterpated" with it all! :)

Florida wildlife... well... that's a different story! Here are a few of God's creatures we have seen in our very own yard!

Bobcat!

Hawk

Sandhill Cranes
I thought Burger King had put statues in their lawn... then they moved!

These Sand Hill Cranes are in our front yard! They are LOUD! (see video!)

WAKE UP! WAKE UP!
I do not know how everyone in the house did NOT wake up to these while I was leaving for work!

Turtle!
Just the other day, February, 2012, we saw this turtle cross the street into our yard! He was quite fast, had a LONG neck, and an ugly snout! Lila called him "cat." :)

The First SIghting!
 Turtle! Turtle!
 Running to meet him!
He's crossed the sidewalk and trying to hide in his shell!
 Lila squeals with delight!
 Lila and the turtle.
(Yes. I realize... AFTER consulting with my Florida native relatives...
that this was extremely dangerous.
These turtles are very quick and will attack if they feel threatened.
I thank the Lord that he protected us from this vicious creature! :)
Seriously.)

fascinated by it!

Turtle videos!

Turtle AND the EAGLE!

We have also seen a opossum, and baby raccoons, two eagles. No alligators... yet!
Oh and the mosquitoes are pretty bad too!

p.s. I will update this as soon as we get pictures of the other wildlife!
